NASA Planet Earth Time Lapse Video – check this out!

The crew of Expedition 29 on board the International Space Station has captured new footage of our planet, providing a view most of us could only dream of. These shots, recently released by NASA, were taken between August and October this year. The video is a time lapse of photography showing 18 different sequences of photos. Viewers can get a clear look at the reds and greens from Aurora Borealis and Aurora Australis, as well as lights glaring from the world’s cities. Check it out!

3. Aurora Australis from Madagascar to southwest of Australia

8. Night Pass over Central Africa and the Middle East
9. Evening Pass over the Sahara Desert and the Middle East
10. Pass over Canada and Central United States at Night
11. Pass over Southern California to Hudson Bay
12. Islands in the Philippine Sea at Night
13. Pass over Eastern Asia to Philippine Sea and Guam
14. Views of the Mideast at Night
15. Night Pass over Mediterranean Sea
16. Aurora Borealis and the United States at Night
17. Aurora Australis over Indian Ocean
18. Eastern Europe to Southeastern Asia at Night

  4. Yeah this video is truly nice. It's amazing to see how it is all so available....the storms were so cool.. I liked them too, standing on the land observing it, the lightnings looks so big, from up there it seemed like nothing...

  5. That's a great time-lapsed video! I love time-lapsed videos, especially aurora and night sky videos. Nature is cool too.
    The lightnings are pretty awesome.
    It's the first time I've seen auroras in this perspective which is quite neat. I normally get a from-the-ground view.
