|Yoga rooms at the US airports|
There are very few things about airports and long-distance travel that aren'tstressful, from security lines and flight delays to mediocre food and baggage claim hooplas. But a handful of U.S. airports are working to take the anxiety out of travel days, allowing travelers to rest, relax and recharge through yoga and meditation facilities.
At least five U.S. airports feature yoga studios or non-denominational meditation rooms -- welcoming both religious and non-religious visitors looking for a quiet space -- as respites of peace and tranquility within the bustle of an international transport center.
Below, see five American airports with stress-relieving facilities to take advantage of on your next trip.
San Francisco International Airport, California
Located in SFO's Terminal 2, the 150-square-foot airport yoga studio is the first of its kind. Visitors can set their luggage aside and enjoy a few relaxing asanas in the former storage room. And it's impossible to miss, with directional signs featuring a yogi in a lotus pose now scattered across the airport.
“The Yoga Room gives modern travelers a space that fosters and supports quiet and reflection,"the studio's design director Melissa Mizell says in a press release. "Those aren’t emotions that people typically encounter at the airport.”

Burlington International Airport, Vermont
This year, the Burlington International Airport became the latest in the US to add a yoga roomto its list of services for travelers. Local studio Evolution Yoga made the room possible earlier this year with donations from area businesses.
"We find that traveling can be stressful so we try to take a little bit of that out," Eugene Richards, interim director of the Burlington International Airport, told the Associated Press.
Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport, Texas
Separated from the hustle and bustle of the terminal by a privacy screen, the Dallas-Forth Worth International Airport yoga room follows in SFO's footsteps. The studio offers travelers mats and hand sanitizer for yoga, and also a "LiveWell" walking path for those less yoga-inclined who still want to relax and exercise a little before their flight.

Take a few moments to unwind before you head to baggage claim at the Albuquerque Sunport's meditation room, described by a Sleeping in Airports reviewer as "a sort of non-denominational chapel." The room was recently renovated with upholstered bancos.
